Sea TREK Guides

Guide Certification Course

Trained, certified and insured SeaTREK Guides conduct all SeaTREK experiences. SeaTREK offers a complete line of Guide training materials and manuals. The Guide training course takes 4-7 days, and includes:

  • SeaTREK Standard Operating Procedures
  • Emergency response training (in and out of water)
  • Equipment components review
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Classroom textbook review & in-water skills practice
  • Written test at the end of the course

To be eligible for the SeaTREK Guide training course, candidates must be:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Rescue diver certified (or equivalent)
  • CPR & First Aid certified

At least one staff member at each SeaTREK location is trained to the level of a SeaTREK Training Coordinator so that he or she can train and certify new Guides as they come and go.
