Guide Certification Course

Trained, certified and insured Sea TREK Guides conduct all Sea TREK helmet diving experiences. Sea TREK offers a complete kit of Guide training materials and manuals. The Guide training course takes 4-7 days, depending on the system, and includes:

  • Sea TREK Standard Operating Procedures
  • Emergency response training (in and out of water)
  • Equipment components review
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Classroom textbook review & in-water skills practice
  • Verbal Safety Briefing practice and test
  • Written test at the end of the course

 To be eligible for the Sea TREK Guide training course, candidates must be:

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Rescue diver certified (or equivalent)
  • CPR, First Aid & AED certified with O2 administration certification

At least one staff member at each Sea TREK location is trained to the level of a Sea TREK Training Coordinator so that he or she can train and certify new Guides as they come and go.
